Hospitality Digital is offering a job opportunity in Düsseldorf, Germany as a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer. As a DevOps Engineer with a full-stack development background you will join a growing team with similar skills supporting many software development projects. Your primary focus will be on contributing to the complete software development & deployment lifecycle tailored for the cloud responsible for research, design, implementation, documentation and maintenance of new & existing backend systems and services.
Duties & responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical people with leaning to the first group.
- Demonstrate ability & willingness to learn and improve as a mentor to other technical teams by introducing new workflows, methodologies, tooling, etc.
- Translate concerns & demands across technical teams or with management and, if necessary, make balanced proposals highlighting trade-offs as implementing next actionable items.
- Demonstrate effective empathic cross-team and inter-team relationship building to promote trust and bring skills & advocating for best practices to others
Eligibility criteria
- Very good experience involved in software engineering lifecycle with various team sizes and clear understanding of computer science fundamentals such as data structure, algorithms, problem solving, software design & core programming concepts
- Several years of proven experience as a frontend or full-stack software developer proficient in more than one modern programming language such as Angular, Javascript, React (or Native), Vue,js, Flutter, Ionic, etc.
- Solid, general experience with public or private cloud hosting environments
- Several years of experience or understanding of roles such as DevOps Engineer, Systems Integration Engineer or similar handling tasks at a small to mid sized company
- Must have experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Linux based environments and related tools.
- Proven experience with automation in general, infrastructure as code, test automation and general understanding of various database systems, monitoring tools, etc.
- Proven experience managing complex build systems within Continuous Integration systems.
- Experienced in SCM and productivity tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Fluent in English. German and other languages are a plus.
