Value Added Services Engineer Internship at Zain in Jordan

Zain Group is offering an internship in Amman, Jordan, as a Value Added Services Engineer Internship. As it’s looking for a fresh graduate to join the Engineering department for a one-year internship contract under Zain Youth Program.

1. Administrating and Maintaining VAS systems (SMS Services, USSD, Missed Call Notification, etc...) hosted on Windows and Linux environments.
2. Implementing scripts to extract information and/or automate tasks using bash scripting, python or any other tools.
3. Implementing the requested updates/modifications required by Marketing Product Owners.
4. Act as third tier of support for the cases reported by the customers.

The suitable candidate should have the below requirements:

• University Major/s: Telecommunications Engineering/ Computer Engineering/ Computer Science or any related field.
• Soft skills:

1. Good interpersonal skills.
2. Proficiency in English (Reading, Writing, Listening & Speaking).
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
4. Problem Solving skills.

• Technical skills:

1. SMPP & SS7 Protocols
2. OS administration (Linux/Windows).
3. RDBMSs administration (Mysql, MSSQL or Oracle).
4. Background in one of the following and any extra language is a plus (Python, bash scripting, C++ or PHP).
