Disney is offering an internship opportunity (Corporate Lease Accounting Graduate Intern - Fall 2021) in Florida, United States. Disney Worldwide Shared Services is an expanding team of process experts and accounting professionals who provide shared accounting services to The Walt Disney Company, inclusive of all Segments. You'll be directly working with the team supporting Corporate Real Estate and partnering with them to ensure proper accounting of lease holdings across The Walt Disney Company.
Duties & responsibilities
Providing day-to-day accounting assistance through:
- Journal Entries
- Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations
- Accounting Research and Analysis
- Accruals
- Close Related Tasks
- Lease Accounting Straight Line Schedules
- SOX Compliance
- Processing Invoices
Eligibility criteria
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
- The ability to build strong relationships in a highly professional “client service orientation” environment
- Team player
- Solid interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent communicator in both oral and written settings
- Flexible, “special-projects” orientation coupled with solid multi-tasking abilities
- Self-driven, independent thinker
- Incoming student, currently pursuing, or recently graduated within 6 months with a Graduate Master's degree in Accounting, Tax, or other related major
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous accounting work experience
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting
- Working towards a CPA
Additional Information:
- At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
- Program Dates: Interns must be fully available from September 2021 to January 2022.
