International Cartoon Competition and Chance to Win Cash Prizes

Raed Cartoon is pleased to announce the 12th International Turhan Selçuk Cartoon Competition, which is being organised this year by Milas Municipality. This 2022 competition underway aims to introduce the master Turhan Selçuk, who has gained an undying presence in the cartoon world, to future generations. You will have the chance to demonstrate your creativity in any theme you want, the theme is free for all cartoonists.

If you are among the winners, yu will have one of the following prizes:

• First Place: $740.
• Runner up: $555.
• Third Place: $370.
• The cartoons selected by the jury will be:
• displayed in the exhibition.
• printed in the album.
• Other Special Prizes: From various establishments, societies, newspapers, art magazines, trade unions, news agents and individuals.
• Travel, accommodation and meal expenses will be met for the winners.

You must follow the following terms:

• The competition is open to any cartoonist.
• It is acceptable to enter with cartoons that have been published previously. 
• Cartoons should not have won any prize/award in any other competition.
• Any technique is allowed.
• The cartoonist can submit a maximum of 5 cartoons.
• Originals or electronic versions suitable for printing in 300 dpi and jpg format sent by e-mail would also be acceptable.
• All cartoons must be 30x40 cm maximum.
•  All cartoons, whether they have won a prize or not, may be used for cultural purposes and may be published.  

Timeline:

• The last day for participation is: 30th April 2022.
• The jury meeting will be held: On the 12 May 2022.
• The results will be announced: On 18 May 2022.
• The reward ceremony will be held: On 14th September 2022. 
• The opening of the exhibition will be held: On 14th September 2022 to 01st October 2022.

Raed Cartoon is a website interested in the field of cartooning in addition to the artist's news and festivals all over the world, founded by the Syrian artist Raed Khalil. Raed Khalil is a Syrian cartoonist born in Syria on March 1, 1973 who started working in publications in 1988. As well, founded the website “Syria Cartoon” and founded the International Cartoon Competition in Syria in 2005.
