Karolinska Institutet is one of the world’s leading medical and research universities, with a primary focus on medicine, health sciences, and advanced medical research. It offers a wide range of programs, and approximately one scholarship per program is awarded annually to outstanding students affiliated with Karolinska Institutet.
Benefits
Scholarship coverage:
- The KI Global Master’s Scholarship covers tuition fees. Travel costs, living expenses, and other costs must be covered from other funding sources.
- The KI Global Master’s Scholarship covers tuition fees only for students enrolled in a global master’s programme at Karolinska Institutet.
Eligibility criteria
Application requirements:
- Your application must be for a Global Master’s Programme at Karolinska Institutet starting in September 2026.
- You must be a new student (first year) in this master’s programme.
- You must have paid the application fee for the master’s programme before 2 February 2026.
- You must meet all academic admission requirements and submit all documents required by the master’s programme
- You must be a student from outside the EU/EEA.
Application deadlines:
- 2 February 2026: Deadline to submit the CV form via your university admissions account.
- 9–25 February 2026: Scholarship application period.
- 27 April 2026: Scholarship recipients will be notified by email.
- 30 April 2026: Deadline to accept the scholarship offer.
Important note:
- Some master’s programmes, such as Molecular Techniques in Life Science and Biostatistics and Data Science, are not eligible for this scholarship.
If a scholarship recipient declines their offer in a given year, two scholarships will be awarded for that programme in the following year instead of one.
