A Workshop Opportunity with the Event of the 2nd Arab Congress for Open Access

The Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) is pleased to announce the workshop organization on the event sidelines of the 2nd Arab Congress for Open Access, on October 19-21, 2021, in partnership with the Arab Community of Open Access (ACOA). The Scientific Committee invites researchers and specialists in universities, faculties, research centers, and other relevant institutions in the Arab world to contribute research and scientific papers to this Forum through anyone of its axes.

Forum axes:

1. Arab information institutions and their role in supporting free access.
2. Presence free access in the Arab world and beyond.
3. Digital repositories: green road.
4. Scientific journals.
5. Other resources for free access.
6. Free access to cultural heritage resources.
7. Free access for people of determination (people with disabilities).
8. The role of open access in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Arab Open Access Week is an opportunity for the academic and research community to:

• Learn about the benefits and advantages of Open Access.
• Promote the Arabic content and make it freely available online.
• Support relevant educational programs.
• Monitor outstanding Open Access experiences and initiatives in the Arab world.

You should follow these instructions:

• The number of pages for the entire research should not exceed 20 pages, including the list of references, and not less than 08 pages.
• The first sheet must include:
• The full title of the article, the name of the researcher, his academic degree, and the institution to which he belongs.
• The summary should not exceed 10 lines maximum and should not be less than 03 lines. Included with a summary of the keywords for the topic (Max 6 words)
• Page preparation margins: 3 cm on the right and 2 cm on the rest of the sides.
• Charts and illustrations are numbered sequentially, and their titles are written below. 
• The tables are numbered sequentially as they appear in the article and their titles are written above them.
• Analysis, commentary, and explanatory notes are written at the bottom of the table.
• You should use Arabic numerals.
• Convert the file to PDF format before sending it.

The Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) is a Tunis-based specialized institution working under the umbrella of the League of Arab States. It is essentially concerned with the development and coordination of the activities related to education, culture, and sciences in the Arab World. It was established by virtue of Article 3 of the Arab Cultural Unity Charter and was officially announced in Cairo in July 1970.
