International Festival of Animation Cinema in its 38th edition and a Chance to Win 1,200 Euro

Film Freeway invites artists all over the world to attend the events of Cartoon Club – International Festival of Animation Cinema, Comics and Games, in its 38th edition. It is one of the best known festivals in the Italian scene and considers a remarkable window for animation works, short films in particular; fiction, educational, experimental, and computer graphic. As well, you will have the chance to participate in a competition in one of the following categories: 

• The Signor Rossi Award: 
• Open to animated films made by secondary school, university, and animation film schools students.
• The Cartoon Club Award:
• Open to short animated films made by professional filmmakers and production companies.
• The Cartoon Kids Award: 
• For some short animated films aimed at a children’s audience. 

If you are among the winners, you will award one of the following prizes:

• Signor Rossi Award: 
• a cash prize of 1,200 Euro.
• a Sig. Rossi plate.
• Cartoon Club Award: Cartoon Club plate.
• Cartoon Kids Award: Cartoon Kids plate.

You should follow the following terms:

1. Only short animated films (min. 2’, max. 30’), produced from 1st January 2020 onward.
2. Film haven’t been shown in previous editions of the festival are admitted.
3. Admission is free of charge.
4. The film file in high-quality .mp4 or .mov or format.
5. List the subtitles in English or Italian (for foreign language films only).
6. Your work may be shown at other events or screenings organized by Cartoon Club, solely for non-profit-making cultural purposes.
7. Participation in the Festival implies full acceptance of the terms of the regulations.

Festival Timeline:

• Regular Deadline: March 31, 2022.
• Notification Date: June 20, 2022.
• Event Date: July 11 – 17, 2022.
