Opportunity description
The second call for the Advanced Learning in Evolving Critical Systems known as (ALECS) is now open. The aim of the program is to provide training and career development to researchers through providing international mobility and intersectoral exposure. As a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship, ALECS offers high quality professional opportunities open to researchers of any age, nationality and discipline who comply with the program’s eligibility criteria.
The program will fund 26 fellowships for researchers, who either have a PhD degree or who have at least 4 years equivalent full-time equivalent research experience (in academia or industry).
All fellowships will be based in Ireland where fellows will be hosted by their academic supervisor’s university. The two-year fellowship will include an individual research project under the supervision of a leading Lero researcher and an industry secondment.

[4] Security and Privacy.
Eligibility criteria:
[1] Applicants must be in possession of a doctoral degree or have at least four years full-time equivalent research experience at time of the call deadline.
[2] Applicants may be of any nationality.
[3] Applicants must either have working proficiency of the English language or must be fluent in English.
[4] Applicants may not have resided or carried out their main activity (e.g. work, study) in the Republic of Ireland for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the call deadline.
Fellowship Salaries:
[1] Salary (gross): €40,000 per annum (without family allowance).
[2] Salary (gross): €45,400 per annum (with family allowance).
