<p>World Festival of Animated Film &ndash; Animafest Zagreb invites submissions for the 29th edition of the Festival, taking place 3-8 June 2019 in Zagreb, Croatia.</p><h3><strong>Contest Categories</strong></h3><p><strong>[1] Short films (maximum running time 40 minutes) can be submitted to following competition categories:<br></strong></p><ul><li>Short Film Competition</li><li>Student Film Competition &ndash; films produced in educational institution (art schools and film schools)</li><li>Films for Children Competition</li><li>Croatian Film Competition &ndash; films whose majority producer is Croatian and/or films by Croatian directors.</li></ul><p><strong>[2]&nbsp;Feature films (minimum running time 40 minutes) can be submitted to the following competition category:<br></strong></p><ul><li>Feature Film Competition</li></ul><h3><strong>General Conditions</strong></h3><ol><li>Festival&rsquo;s submissions are open to films applying all animation techniques, including combinations with live action and documentary.</li><li>Over 50% of the production must be animated, and the Festival reserves the right to determine whether an entry qualifies as animation.</li><li>Films should be completed after 1 January 2018.&nbsp;</li><li>Films entered for previous Festival will not be taken into consideration.</li></ol><h3><strong>Awards</strong></h3><p>[1] Short Film Competition</p><ul><li>Grand Prix - Short Film (best short film of the festival) &ndash; cash award of 2,500&euro;.</li><li>Golden Zagreb Award (for creativity and innovative artistic achievement) &ndash; cash award of 2,000&euro;.</li><li>Zlatko Grgić Award (best first production out of educational institutions) &ndash; cash award of 1,500&euro;.</li><li>Mr. M &ndash; Short Film, audience award</li></ul><p>[2] Student Film Competition&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Du&scaron;an Vukotić Award for best student film &ndash; cash award of 1,000&euro;.</li><li>Best Animation School &ndash; award to an educational institution for the best choice of films submitted for selection (at the discretion of the Student Films Competition selection committee).</li></ul><p>[3] Films for Children Competition</p><ul><li>Best film for children.</li></ul><p>[4] Croatian Film Competition</p><ul><li>Best Croatian Film &ndash; cash award of 1,000&euro;.</li></ul><p>[5] Feature Film&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Grand Prix - Feature Film (best feature film of the festival) &ndash; cash award of 2,500&euro;;</li><li>Mr. M - Feature Film, audience award.</li></ul>
