Award Worth 5,000,000 KRW Under the Theme Food and Feed

Medicinal Bioconvergence Research Center (Biocon) from Seoul National University is proud to announce their Bio-art contest 2018 edition under the theme “Food and Feed”. There is no doubt that Food is very critical and fundamental element for all living organisms on the earth, but some people are struggling due to obesity while at some parts of the world the others are starving to death. Recently, ‘Food & Eating’ has become one of the most popular contents in various media. At Bio-art Contest 2018, the goal is to share and contemplate various problems around ‘Food and Feed’ that the world is facing today, so share your creative and brilliant artwork and participate in the contest. The 2018 6th Bio-Art Contest will be held by Medicinal Bioconvergence Research Center, Seoul National University.

 The conditions and requirements to take part and participate are as follows:

[1] Individuals and groups (maximum of 4 members), domestic/ international can apply and participate.

[2] Digital pictures and computer graphics should be in jpg file with 2560x 1920 pixels (in case of resolution 72) and should not include any watermark or caption

[3] Microscope pictures should be sent with the maximum resolution of the apparatus.

[4] The video clips should be in 1280×720 pixels or higher. The file should be in MP4 format and should not exceed 100MB (shorter than 3 minutes).

[5] All contents made in VR and shorter than 3 minutes are acceptable. It should be compatible in Samsung Gear and submitted as 360VR format.

[6] The file should include the contents related to Bio-art.

[7] Works with inaccurate candidate information or works not complying with the work standards and requirements can be exempted from the evaluation.

 The prizes and awards are as follows:

[1] Grand Prize for 1 individual or a team: Prize of KRW 5,000,000 + A certificate

[3] Main Prize for 3 individuals or teams: Prize KRW 1,000,000 + A certificate

[4] Participation Prize for 10 individuals or teams: Prize KRW 300,000 + A certificate

[5] Selection Prize for 20 individuals or teams:  A certificate

Please note that for the group candidates, the prize will be awarded as a group, and the prize money will be paid to the group leader.
