Opportunity description
BLOOOM Award, an art competition funded by Warsteiner, offers young artists from all around the world the opportunity to participate in the competition to gain a foothold in the international art market. Visual Arts, Design, Urban Art or Video can participate as there are no limitations at the award, which is looking for artists who work at the interfaces between art and creative industries to blur the boundaries of traditional forms of expression.
Participation rules:
[1] Visual Arts, Design, Urban Art or Video are eligible to participate
[2] The work must not be older than 2 years on July 31, 2018
[3] The maximum upload size is 20 MB
[4] Participants must have completed 18 years, and there is no maximum age
[5] Only one work can be submitted per artist
Prizes:
[1] First place:
- Special exhibition BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER at Art Düsseldorf that attracted 43,000 visitors in 2017, in addition to socializing with gallery owners, collectors and media representatives
- Year-long mentoring support through a member of the jury, in which the winner will plan the next important steps concerning his/her career as an artist
Traveling with a jury member to an international art fair with all the travel expenses covered
[2] Second place:
- Special exhibition BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER at Art Düsseldorf that attracted 43,000 visitors in 2017, in addition to socializing with gallery owners, collectors and media representatives
- One day mentoring support with a jury member
[3] Places three to five: The presentation of their work at the special exhibition from November 16-18, 2018 in Düsseldorf
[4] The winner of the special category music video: €500
