Opportunity description
The Centro CEMEX-TEC is offering its Global Award for high impact proposals and projects in the field of sustainable development, innovation and social entrepreneurship. Each team must be made up of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 graduate/undergraduate students. It is a requirement that the proposed projects have an application in the territory close to the residence of the members of the team to ensure the proper implementation and monitoring of the project. Participants must be advised by at least one professor from their university and by at least one local organization. In order to ensure the permanence of the project in the long term, it is necessary to involve the beneficiary community in the diagnosis and development of the proposal.
The winning project will be chosen according to the following criteria:
[1] Community diagnosis: 15%
[2] Transformation Master Plan: 20%
[3] Implementation feasibility: 30%
[4] Innovative Schemes: 10%
[5] Financial Sustainability: 20%
[6] Project presentation: 5%
The winning students who are located outside of Mexico will travel with their principal adviser with all the expenses paid to the award ceremony on August 31, 2018. All finalist's projects will be published in the book of the CEMEX-TEC Award, in addition to $25,000, usable in one of the stages of the project and with the follow-up of a committee designated by the CEMEX-TEC Award.
