COINS Grand Challenge Competition for the Development of Construction Industry

Applications for the COINS Grand Challenge 2018 competition are now open for innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders with ideas that can improve the built environment. The main goal of the competition is to find new ideas or innovative approaches that will solve problems and enable the construction industry to make a positive impact on society.

Applicants may be undergraduate students, postgraduate students, recent graduates, young entrepreneurs and industry specialists. The competition consists of two categories: undergraduates and open, each with two challenges: New Emerging Technologies and Leadership.

All reasonable traveling, accommodation and food expenses will be provided to the grand finalists in order for them to attend the Grand Final. Winners will be awarded prizes as follows:

[1] Open competition prizes: business investment, R&D grants, paid internship or sales meetings with industry experts.

[2] Undergraduates competition prizes: education grants, paid internships or mentoring from academic and industry leaders.
