Giza Systems Education Foundation invites creative people with special needs who have background and experience in digital manufacturing or web development to participate in the Nitrous Project, which aims to use digital manufacturing technology to meet the unique daily needs of people with special abilities. The competition will be held in Egypt on 1 April 2019.
About the competition:
Create a comprehensive and innovative business model for a digital platform linking people with special capabilities in the Arab world and Africa with designers and manufacturers to find innovative products designed to solve the daily challenges of people with special abilities and to organize the market among themselves. This model should develop an online market program suitable for people with special abilities that reduce the cost of manufacturing assistive technologies and increases customization to suit each individual.
Terms of Application:
Persons with special abilities or teams (the team must have at least one member with special abilities).
Must be between 18-40 years old.
Applicants must have a basic understanding of (digital manufacturing/business, skills/web development or design skills).
To participate, you must attach the following:
- Business model
- Wire frame model of the platform that refers to the initial features and functions.
- You can attach any additional supporting documents you find relevant to your nomination.

The prize :
The winner will receive a grant of up to LE 250,000 from the in-kind and cash financing provided by Giza Systems Educational Foundation and the Innovation LLC to start developing the platform collaboratively and starting its operation. The final distribution of shares will depend on considerations specific to the size of the winner's contribution.
Competition Procedures:
- Complete your registration before April 1st to enter the contest.
- Application Examination Stage: During this phase, the Committee will review each application.
- Nomination Stage: At this stage, applicants will be filtered through individual or group meetings, phone calls, etc.
- Individual Meeting: Prior to the start of the training, a meeting will be held with each applicant to discuss the level of participation in training and consideration in time. Some applicants may need some tools to help them develop and be provided by the Nitros project.
- Training: Applicants who succeed the previous stages will join the 3-month training course on Digital Manufacturing and Business Guidance by Giza Systems Educational Foundation, during which applicants will be filtered through their performance on the assignments.
