Distance Learning Master Scholarships at the Center for Trauma Sciences 2019

The Center for Trauma Sciences invites international students to apply for the C4TS scholarship for the Master of Trauma Sciences or Master of Trauma Sciences (Military and Humanitarian) programs for the academic year 2019-2020. The programs are 2-year part-time distance learning.

All countries developed and developing recognize the importance of trauma to their health care systems. Many countries are actively pursuing rationalization and specialization programs.

Masters in Trauma Sciences (Military and Humanitarian):

War is predicted to be the sixth leading cause of death by 2020 and humanitarian disasters are rife across the world. Opportunities for the training of military trauma care specialists are extremely limited. With global disasters, humanitarian crises and mass casualty events on the rise, the importance of specialist training in the science and management of these events is increasingly important.

Eligibility criteria:

1. The applicant must be a citizen of a low or middle-income country as defined by the World Bank (includes lower-middle and upper‑middle countries)
2. The applicant must work full time in a low or middle-income country
3. The applicant must meet all MSc entry requirements of Queen Mary University of London
4. The applicant should submit a 1,000-word essay on the burden of trauma in their own region and or country and the systems of care for managing injured patients
5. The applicant should submit a 500-word essay on how the MSc will help their education, career and injured patients in their institution or region

Scholarship amount:

The center offers a range of bursaries and scholarships on tuition fees for Masters students including competitive scholarships, bursaries and awards, some of which are for applicants studying specific subjects.
