Erasmus Mundus program is welcoming applications for the 2-year full-time Master scholarship program in Global Markets and Local Creativities (GLOCAL) from students all around the world. When applying for this scholarship, applicants should specify their student category (depending on their nationality and residency) the categories are:

Scholarship Pathways
- Pathway A
“Global History & Creative Industries”: (Glasgow, Barcelona, Rotterdam) that stresses economic orders, creative cities and industries, and the history of international relations and globalisation. Pathway A is suitable for applicants with an academic background in History, Sociology, Political Science and International Relations, as well as applicants from an Arts and Humanities academic background (English Language, Literature, Anthropology, Languages etc.) - Pathway B
“Global Markets & Development”: (Glasgow, Barcelona, Göttingen) that stresses global political economy, immigrant entrepreneurship, and global marketing and mass consumption. An academic background in History, Economics, Business/Management, Sociology, Political Science, International Relations, or another Social Science is required for Pathway B.
Other majors (such as Engineering, Sciences, Architecture etc.) will also be considered for entry into the programme and for the fellowship if they have a significant academic background in the targeted fields listed above.
Funding
The GLOCAL Erasmus Mundus scholarship includes:
[1] A contribution to the student participation costs (tuition fees, full insurance coverage and any other mandatory participation costs):
- The tuition fee will be fully covered by the scholarship contribution and the Consortium.
- € 4,500 per year for a Programme Country scholarship holder
- € 9,000 per year for a Partner Country scholarship holder
- Any amount in excess of these contributions will be covered by the GLOCAL Consortium and will not be charged to the scholarship holder.
[2] A contribution to student travel and installation costs
- Programme Country: € 1,000 per year per scholarship holder resident of a Programme country
- Partner Country:
- € 2,000 per year for travel costs + € 1,000 for installation costs for a scholarship holder resident in a Partner country whose location is situated at less than 4,000 km from the EMJMD coordinating HEI
- € 3,000 per year for travel costs + € 1,000 for installation costs for a scholarship holder resident in a Partner country whose location is situated at 4.000km or more from the EMJMD coordinating HEI.
Distance is calculated by the Consortium using the EACEA calculator.
[3] A monthly subsistence allowance for the entire duration of the study programme. The monthly contribution includes:
- € 1,000 per month for the entire duration of the EMJMD study programme (24 months maximum).
- Contribution to subsistence costs will not be given to scholarship holders for the periods of the EMJMD (study/ research/placement/thesis preparation) spent in their country of residence (at the time of the application deadline)
- Contribution to subsistence costs will not be given to Partner Country scholarship holders for periods exceeding 3 months spent in any Partner Country.
Academic Requirements and Background
- UK: You should have a 2:1 Honours degree or equivalent qualification (for example, GPA 3.0 or above) in a relevant subject.

For applicants whose first language is not English, the University sets a minimum English Language proficiency level.

All stated English tests are acceptable for admission for both home/EU and international students for this programme:
ibTOEFL: 90 overall with a minimum of 20 for reading, 19 for listening, 19 for speaking and 23 for writing
CAE (Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English): 176 overall; no sub-test less than 169
CPE (Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English): 176 overall; no sub-test less than 169
PTE Academic (Person Test of English, Academic test): 60; no sub-test less than 59
Trinity College London Integrated Skills in English: ISEII at Distinction with Distinction in all sub-tests
