Opportunity description
At TU Delft a number of scholarships are available for excellent international applicants. Justus & Louise Van Effen Excellence Scholarships are financed by the legacy of Justus and Louise van Effen. Mr. van Effen studied at TU Delft in the 1940’s and strongly believed technological developments will contribute to solving societal issues.
The Foundation Justus & Louise van Effen was established with the aim of stimulating excellent international MSc students and financially supporting them in their wish to study at TU Delft.
Extent of Scholarship
- Full tuition fees for a TU Delft MSc programme based on the statutory fee or institutional rate, according to the registered nationality.
- Living expenses (€950 pm) for two years for EU/EFTA and Non-EU/EFTA students. One- time standard payment for travel expenses.
- Membership to the Scholarship club giving access to personal development, workshops, seminars, etc.
Eligibility
Excellent international applicants (conditionally) admitted to one of the two-year Regular TU Delft’s MSc programmes are required to have:
- A university bachelor's degree in a main subject closely related to the MSc programme to which you are applying for.
Available programmes for the MSc Scolarship: Aerospace Engineering, Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences, Industrial Design Engineering, Clinical Technology, Nanobiology, Computer Science, Engineering, and other technical programmes. - CGPA > 75% (unless specific requirements are defined for your country).
Country specific requirements:
Djibouti: An undergraduate degree from Djibouti does not qualify for admission to an MSc programme. To be considered for admission to an MSc programme, applicants should have a Maîtrise degree with a final cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 14/20 or better.
Egypt: A four year university bachelor's degree with a final cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 7.0/10 or better
Lebanon: A four or five year bachelor's degree with a final cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 75% or better.
Somalia: A five year bachelor's degree from a public university with a final cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 80 or better.
South Sudan: An undergraduate degree from South Sudan does not qualify for admission to an MSc programme. To be considered for admission to an MSc programme, applicants should have a master’s degree from a public university with a final cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 75% or better.
Sudan: A five year bachelor's degree from a public university with a final cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 70% or better.
Syria: A five year bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a minimum final cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 70% or better. - TOEFL, IELTS or Cambridge certificate.
