Opportunity description
The National Sporting Library and Museum (NSLM) is offering researchers from all over the world the opportunity to be a part of the John H. Daniels Fellowship 2021 in Virginia, the United States. It will take place in a research library and fine arts museum. The fellowship program serves to promote awareness of, and innovative, scholarly use of the institution's unique collections focused on equestrian and field sports.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The ideal applicants are researchers who wish to use the NSLM's collections in support of original scholarship
- And who have plans for publication.
- Eligible applicants include university faculty, graduate students, museum professionals, librarians, independent researchers, and writers.
Funding:
- Fellowships are awarded for two months or less.
- The maximum stipend is $2000 per month.
- Free, on-campus residence is available
- Funds are awarded in honor of the legacy of sportsman and book collector John H. Daniels.
Required Documents:
- CV or resume
- a research proposal of 500 words or less,
- a budget
- choice of dates (January - December 2021)
- a letter of recommendation from an advisor or colleague which may be emailed separately to fellowship@nationalsporting.org.
