Opportunity description
Union for International Cancer Control has launched a new program of fellowships for cancer professionals in Africa linked to the 2018 World Cancer of Congress, which is supported by the American Cancer Society. The aim is to enable healthcare workers to improve cancer outcomes in Africa, and to expand workforce capability. Applicants must have an experience of working with cancer or cancer patients. Medical professionals are eligible to apply, and non-medical applicants working in cancer societies or non-governmental organizations must hold a Bachelor’s degree.
The fellowship covers $3,000 including a stipend and a travel contribution. 20 awardees will be selected for the award and 10 fellows will be awarded travel grants based on their fellowship visit report and congress abstract.
