The IICP College invites students from across the world to apply for the Pat and Rose Jennings Master’s scholarships in Pluralistic Counseling and Psychotherapy, which is made available to those who have completed their core training in the college and/or can demonstrate substantial commitment to work in the community. The scholarship was established to honor the memory of Pat and Rose Jennings.
Application requirements:
[1] Either an honors degree, Level 8 on The National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), in counselling and psychotherapy or equivalent and evidence of completion of 50 hours of personal therapy and 100 hours of supervised clinical practice
[2] Or an honors degree, Level 8 on the NFQ, plus a professional diploma in counselling and psychotherapy that meets with IACP/IAHIP course recognition standards. The diploma or equivalent must have counselling and psychotherapy at its core and have a minimum of 450 hours in tutor/student contact over the duration of the program
Commitment required:
[1] Completion of the master's program
[2] Completion of a weekly three-hour client block at VCS for the duration of the master's Program
[3] The master's in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy also aims to create leaders in the field, and applicants are required to engage with the teaching of new entrants into the profession on the Bachelor (Hons) program. Applicants are required to act as feedback observer on the Bachelor (Hons) program (either first or second year) in the Skills Module. This consists of a minimum weekly teaching commitment of 2 hours per week over 14 weeks in each academic year
[4] Research for the master’s program should contribute to the clinical work of the VCS or the scholarship of teaching and learning within IICP College
What the scholarship covers:
[1] Full scholarship covering 100% of the program fees
[2] Partial scholarship covering 50% of the program fees
