The International Institute of Social History (IISH) in the Netherlands is offering students with a master's degree in a field related to social sciences, the chance to join the Fellowships Program for the academic year 2018-2019 which will last for 5 months. The program is interested in the study of social and economic history of the 18-20th century in Iran, whether from a regional, national, or comparative and transnational perspectives. Fellows are expected to write a report on their research activities at the end of the program, be present at the institute customarily, take part in the activities of the research department, interact with other fellows and the IISH's research staff in the English language, and to give at least one public lecture.
Fellows will receive a monthly stipend of €1,500. The fellowship also includes an economy return flight to the Netherlands, visa support, arrangements for accommodation, and health insurance in Amsterdam. By the end of the program and after discussing the results of the fellows research activities, a PDF version will be published on the website of the IISH after making sure it’s between 5,000-8,000 words.
