Opportunity description
Fulbright invites Moroccan mid-career professionals to apply for the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship program 2020-2021. The fellowship is a one-year development program for mid-career (and somewhat younger) professionals who have proven track records of leadership, public service and are ready for a self-designed program of independent, non-degree study at a top university in the USA. The Humphrey brings accomplished professionals from a set of specific countries around the world to the United States at a midpoint in their careers for a year of graduate-level academic course work and professional development activities. The fall semester is spent as a Humphrey cohort together at a top American university, and the spring semester is a hands-on practicum at a U.S. agency or facility, public, private, or academic, which is analogous to their own in their home country. The Humphrey Program began in 1978 to honor the accomplishments of Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey of Minnesota. The program provides a basis for establishing lasting ties through the exchange of knowledge and friendship among the members of the Humphrey cohort and their American academic and professional hosts. Fellowships are competitive for professional candidates from either the public or private sector. Fellows are selected on the basis of their overall record, their potential for future leadership in Morocco, and their commitment to public service.
