The John Curtin School of Medical Research at the Australian National University is offering the Zinkernagel Scholarship to highly-qualified international students seeking to pursue a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences. The Zinkernagel Scholarship is named in honor of Professor Rolf Zinkernagel, who shared the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine with Professor Peter Doherty in 1996 for work done in the JCSMR.
Eligibility Criteria:
The award will be available each year to a prospective student who:
- is an international student;
- is enrolling full-time in a program of study for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at the John Curtin School of Medical Research, Australian National University; and
- holds an Australian Bachelor Honours degree with First Class Honours or equivalent, and has research publications and/or relevant research experience.
Benefits:
- The scholarship value is $ 28,292 per year. Payments made fortnightly for 3 years.
- Other benefits include Thesis reimbursement and paid medical, maternity, and paternity leave.

Selection will be made on the basis of qualifications and research potential.
