Fully-Funded Postdoctoral Fellowship in All Disciplines at Université Libre de Bruxelles 2018

Université Libre de Bruxelles invites researchers from all around the world to apply for the Individual Fellowships (IF @ ULB), which is a comprehensive fellowship program providing excellent experienced researchers the opportunity to conduct frontier research. The starting date of the project is in April 2019 (earliest) and mid-October 2019 (latest), and the fellowship will last for 24 months. IF @ ULB is funded in part by the university and in part by the European Commission. The project will be open to all fields of research, organized into three panels: 

[1] Social Sciences and Humanities 

[2] Physical and Engineering Sciences

[3] Life Sciences

Eligibility criteria:

[1] Applicants of any age and of any nationality are eligible

[2] Applicants must be experienced researchers with a PhD degree and a maximum of 7 years of post-doctoral experience at the date of the deadline OR without a PhD but with a documented full-time equivalent research experience of minimum 4 and maximum 11 years at the date of the deadline

[3] Full-time equivalent research experience is measured from the date when a researcher obtained the degree allowing him or her to embark on a doctorate. This needs to be proven by the employment (or equivalent) contracts

[4] Applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Belgium for more than 12 months during the last 3 years before the deadline

[5] Applicants should not have already benefited from a postdoctoral fellowship in Belgium for more than 6 months before the deadline

What the fellowship covers:

The fellowship covers fellow-related costs such as living allowance (€3.503,21 per month), mobility allowance (€400 per month) and family allowance (€150 per month). It also covers research-related costs such as travel allowance (€200 per month), research costs (€500 per month) and other costs such as training etc. (€300 per month). Successful applicants will also have the opportunity to receive diversified training in an environment of scientific excellence and state-of-the-art facilities, under the supervision of renowned academics and with the support of an extensive collaboration network of academic and non-academic institutions.
