<p>Universit&eacute; Libre de Bruxelles invites researchers from all around the world to apply for the Individual Fellowships (IF @ ULB), which is a comprehensive fellowship program providing excellent experienced researchers the opportunity to conduct frontier research. The starting date of the project is in April 2019 (earliest) and mid-October 2019 (latest), and the fellowship will last for 24 months. IF @ ULB is funded in part by the university and in part by the European Commission. The project will be open to <strong>all fields of research</strong>, organized into three panels:&nbsp;</p><p>[1] Social Sciences and Humanities&nbsp;</p><p>[2] Physical and Engineering Sciences</p><p>[3] Life Sciences</p><h2>Eligibility criteria:</h2><p>[1] Applicants of any age and of any nationality are eligible</p><p>[2] Applicants must be experienced researchers with a PhD degree and a maximum of 7 years of post-doctoral experience at the date of the deadline OR without a PhD but with a documented full-time equivalent research experience of minimum 4 and maximum 11 years at the date of the deadline</p><p>[3] Full-time equivalent research experience is measured from the date when a researcher obtained the degree allowing him or her to embark on a doctorate. This needs to be proven by the employment (or equivalent) contracts</p><p>[4] Applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Belgium for more than 12 months during the last 3 years before the deadline</p><p>[5] Applicants should not have already benefited from a postdoctoral fellowship in Belgium for more than 6 months before the deadline</p><h2>What the fellowship covers:</h2><p>The fellowship covers fellow-related costs such as living allowance (&euro;3.503,21 per month), mobility allowance (&euro;400 per month) and family allowance (&euro;150 per month). It also covers research-related costs such as travel allowance (&euro;200 per month), research costs (&euro;500 per month) and other costs such as training etc. (&euro;300 per month). Successful applicants will also have the opportunity to receive diversified training in an environment of scientific excellence and state-of-the-art facilities, under the supervision of renowned academics and with the support of an extensive collaboration network of academic and non-academic institutions.</p><h2>About Universit&eacute; Libre de Bruxelles:</h2><p>The Universit&eacute; Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) is a French-speaking private research university in Brussels, Belgium. The university has 21 faculties that cover all the disciplines, closely combining academic input and research.
