Fully Funded Scholarships for Graduate Students, Teachers, Researchers and Artists in Slovakia from the Slovak Republic

The National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic offers scholarships for international students, PhD students, university teachers, researchers, and artists.

Eligible applicants:

• Students who:

1. are university students at universities outside Slovakia.
2. are students of the second level of higher education (master's students), or are students who at the time of the application deadline have already completed at least 2.5 years of their university studies in the same study programme.
3.  is able to study in Slovakia during their higher education and has been accepted to a university, private or public, in Slovakia.

Length scholarship stay (students): One to two semesters (each semester being four to five months of study) or one to three trimesters (each trimester being three to four months of study)

• PhD students with higher education or scientific training from outside of Slovakia and who have been accepted to a public university, private university, state university, or a research institution in Slovakia are eligible to carry out a doctoral study programme (e.g. the Slovak Academy of Sciences) in Slovakia.

Length of scholarship stay (PhD students): One to ten months.

• International university teachers, researchers, and artists who have been invited to stay in Slovakia to pursue a career or educational opportunities by an institution certified to carry out research and development that is headquartered in Slovakia, excluding business corporations, are able to participate.

Duration of a scholarship stay (university teachers, researchers, or artists): One to ten months.
