The Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) in China is offering students from all over the world the opportunity to apply for partially and fully funded bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD President’s scholarships for the academic year 2018-2019. The scholarship aims to enhance the friendship between the Chinese people and other people from all countries, promote worldwide exchanges in economy and culture, encourage and help international students who perform well to get an education and build a positive learning environment. The registration date for students is usually September, and SWUFE reserves the right to withdraw the admission and the scholarship offer from those who do not register on time as requested in the admission letter. Applicants must:
[1] Be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport
[2] Have a graduate certificate from a high school if applying for a bachelor’s degree, have a bachelor’s degree if applying for a master’s degree, and have a master’s degree if applying for a doctoral degree
[3] Be a maximum of 30 years for a bachelor’s program, a maximum of 35 years for a master’s program, and a maximum of 40 years for a PhD program
[4] Not be funded by any other scholarships
[5] Received a grade of 4 in HSK for Chinese-taught programs and 6.0 in IELTS or 80 in TOEFL for English-taught programs
Fully-funded scholarships cover tuition fees, accommodation on campus (500-800 RMB per month), living allowance (1,200 RMB per month for bachelor’s students, 1,500 RMB per month for master’s students, and 1,800 RMB per month for PhD students), and a medical insurance. Partially-funded scholarships are merit-based.
