Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in New Zealand is offering international students the opportunity to apply for the Communication Studies Postgraduate Scholarship 2019. The purpose of this scholarship is to promote postgraduate study at the School of Communication Studies at AUT and to encourage and support enrolment in a postgraduate course of study. The scholarship will last for one year.
Eligibility criteria:
[1] Applicants must be full-time or part-time students accepted into the PhD, MPhil, Master of Communication Studies or the Bachelor of Communication Studies (Honors)
[2] Scholarships are awarded on academic excellence and research potential
[3] Scholarships may not be held in conjunction with any other fees
[4] A Bachelor of Communication Studies (Honors) student applying in the June or August round will be eligible for one-semester equivalent only
[5] The recipient may hold additional non-tuition fee based scholarships with the approval of the Head of Department and the Scholarships Office
[6] Previous recipients may reapply
Selection criteria:
[1] No scholarships will be awarded if the committee considers the applications, not of sufficient merit
[2] Preference will be given to applicants who are able to commit full-time to their research as they are more likely to make a higher contribution to the research culture in the school
Value of scholarship:
The scholarship consists of a contribution of $6,000 towards fees for enrolments in the Master of Communication Studies, MPhil or the Bachelor of Communication Studies (Honors) programs or full tuition fees for PhD study. By studying communications at AUT, students will be equipped with the skills to hear what the world is saying and gain insights into what people want to have conveyed.
