The New South Wales University in Australia is offering three types of Masters's and Ph.D. research scholarships to students from all over the world.
Offered Scholarships:
Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship:
- Funded by the Australian Government.
- Duration: 3.5 years for a Ph.D., 2 years for a research Masters
- Scholarship value: $ 28,597 per annum, covers tuition fees.
- Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).
University International Postgraduate Award (UIPA)
- Funded by UNSW
- Duration: 3.5 years for a Ph.D., 2 years for a research Masters
- Scholarship value: $28,597 per annum, covers tuition fees.
Tuition Fee Scholarship (TFS) plus a Research Stipend
- Tuition Fees funded by UNSW
- Stipend funded by the Faculty, School or Supervisor
- Duration: 3.5 years for a Ph.D., 2 years for a research Masters
- Scholarship value: $28,597 per annum, covers tuition fees.
Eligibility criteria for a Research Master's Degree:
- Availability: Offered in all Faculties except the Australian School of Business
- a four-year Bachelor's degree with Honors Class I from an Australian institution or equivalent research qualification experience. This qualification must be in a field relevant to the proposed area of research.
- Candidates are expected to demonstrate independent thought, mastery of appropriate methodology, enhanced disciplinary knowledge, and analytical skills through the production of their thesis. In some disciplines, creative work may form part of the thesis.
Eligibility Criteria for Doctoral Degree:
- Availability: Offered in all Faculties.
- a four-year Bachelor's degree with Honours Class I from an Australian institution or equivalent research qualification experience. This qualification must be in a field relevant to the proposed area of research.
- Candidates acquire advanced specialist research training and produce a thesis that provides evidence for independent thought, critical analysis, and expert knowledge of the discipline in an international context. In some disciplines, creative work may form part of the thesis.
All applicants must fulfill the following conditions:
- English requirements: All applicants, whether domestic or international, must provide evidence that their English language ability meets the minimum UNSW English Language Requirements.
- You have to find a supervisor and contact him from this page. Once you have identified a supervisor in your research area, you must participate in a pre-admission interview to discuss your proposed research project and determine whether appropriate resources will be available. The interview can be face-to-face or via Skype (or other such video messaging).
