Grants for Woman Working on Audiovisual Projects in the Southern Mediterranean

SouthMed Wia is offering grants for women working in audiovisuals and film making in Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, and Tunisia.  The objective of this grant is to support projects addressing weaknesses and issues related to gender equality and the under-representation of women in the audiovisual sector, both on the screen and behind the camera, including the perpetuation of stereotypes relating to the image of women in Arab societies, and with the ultimate goal of influencing widespread cultural attitudes and public opinion. The project must contain at least two partners. The submitted Arabic projects must include translation in English or French.
