Opportunity description
The Washington College of Law is offering the annual writing competition Human Rights Essay Award for individuals holding a law degree and having experience or interest in international human rights law. Participants can choose any subject related to the assigned topic. The essay must not exceed 35 pages (including footnotes).
The Academy will grant two awards: one for the best article in English and another for the best article in Spanish. Winners in each case will be awarded a full scholarship to the Program, as well as covering travel expenses to and from Washington D.C., housing in dorms and daily living expenses. The best articles may also be published in the American University International Law Review.
