About the Scholarships
IUPUI has scholarships and funding for international students for all types of degrees: Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate. The deadline for applications closes on the 15th of November, 2018. Students must submit SAT or ACT scores to be considered for most of these scholarships. They can qualify for two types of scholarships: Merit Scholarships and Competitive Scholarships.
Benefits & Eligibility
Merit Scholarships:
1) Outstanding Scholar Award, up to $60,000 ($15,000 per year for up to four years).
- Have a minimum high school/secondary school cumulative GPA of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale
- Have one of the following minimum test scores: (SAT) 670 on Math section or 1310 on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math sections, (ACT) composite score of 28
2) Dean's Recognition Scholarship, up to $44,000 ($11,000 per year for up to four years).
- Have a minimum high school/secondary school cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Have one of the following minimum test scores: (SAT) 620 on Math section or 1270 on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math sections, (ACT) composite score of 26
3) Valedictorian & Salutatorian Scholarships, up to $40,000 ($10,000 per year for up to four years).
- Apply for admission by March 1st
- The student is ranked first or second in high school/secondary school class (class must have 25 or more students).
4) International Ambassador Award, up to $28,000 ($7,000 per year for up to four years).
- Have a minimum high school/secondary school cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Submit one of the following minimum scores: TOEFL iBT score of 80, or IELTS score of 6.5, or ACT score of 22
5) ELS Ambassador Award, up to $28,000 ($7.000 per year for up to four years).
- Have a minimum high school/secondary school cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Successfully complete Level 112 at ELS Language Centers in the USA or Canada
Competitive Scholarships:
1) Bepko Scholars Program: Full tuition, fees, and books for up to four years, two years of on-campus housing, $2,500 study abroad stipend and the direct admission into the Honors College.
2) Plater International Scholars Program: A $2,500 stipend for a study abroad experience, a $2,500 stipend to help pay for residence in The International House their freshman year and the direct admission into the Honors College.
3) Chancellor's Program: A $2,500 stipend for a study abroad experience, $2,500 stipend to help pay for residence on campus their freshman year and the direct admission into the Honors College.
To apply for any of the three scholarships the student must:
- Apply for a Fall term
- Have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.75
- Have a minimum SAT score of 1310 on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math sections, or a minimum ACT composite score of 28
