International Max Planck Research School PhD Scholarships

The International Max Planck Research School is offering scholarships for its PhD program which trains the future leaders of science. It seeks applications from talented and creative young scientists who hold a Master’s Degree in Biology and other related domains. Applicants holding an excellent BSc degree are also welcome to apply, given that independent research and a written thesis is part of the curriculum. The program trains future leaders of science.

20-25 PhD students are annually accepted into IMPRS Research Groups. Application closes on December 6^th, 2018.

The Scholarship Offers:

1. Full financial support during thesis preparation, up to 4 years which is granted via an employment contract.
2. Health insurance.
3. Pension contribution.
4. Other social benefits are included in the contract.

Requirements:

1. Applicants must hold, or anticipate receiving, a Master’s Degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering before taking up PhD thesis work.
2. Applicants should demonstrate a high level of spoken and written English proficiency. Including TOEFL or IELTS results with the application if available is preferred.
3. Admission is based solely on prior scientific qualifications and future potential. This ensures the recruitment of only the highest qualified candidates in a fair and transparent manner.
