CThe French Institute in Jordan invites young people between the ages of 20-26 to apply to the LabCitoyen program in Paris for an opportunity to participate in a number of international conferences on women's issues, during the period from 30 June to 7 July 2019.
About LabCitoyen 2019
The theme for the 2019 edition of LabCitoyen is "Women's Rights: Equality and Citizenship". Aimed at young people engaged in civic actions (educational, cultural, associative ...) at the local level, this edition will propose to address in particular the following sub-themes:
- Women, political participation and citizenship.
- Professional equality.
- Access to education and knowledge.
- Fight against harassment and violence.
- Religions and women's rights.
Eligibility
Interested candidates must meet all of the following conditions:
- Be between 20 and 26 years old on July 1, 2019.
- Have level B1 in French, this must be justified by a DELF B1 certificate already obtained or during the interview if the application is successful.
- Be of Jordanian nationality.
- Show a citizen commitment in the field of women's rights: associative, political, humanitarian, civic or trade union.
- Be available to travel from June 30 to July 7, 2019 in France.
Benefits
All the expenses will be covered by the French Institute in Paris and the French Embassy in Jordan. This includes:

About LabCitoyen
LabCitoyen is a program dedicated to the major themes of human rights. It invites to France about 50 young engaged citizens aged 20 to 26 years, Francophiles and learners of French, to train themselves to these questions through a series of conferences and debates.
For about 12 days, participants from five continents reflect together on major themes of the international debate of ideas such as: Digital challenges, discrimination, environmental preservation and human rights. The LabCitoyen strives to address the major issues of our time by promoting the French language as a tool for debate and action.
