Leadership Essay Competition for Africans 2018

African citizens between the ages of 18-25 are invited to submit an essay for the 2018 Leadership Essay Competition organized by UONGOZI Institute of African Leadership for Sustainable Development. The competition aims to provide a space for the youth of Africa and the next generation of leaders in the region to contribute to important discussions on leadership. The essays should be no more than 2 A4 pages long in English and should respond to the following question: “If you were an African leader how would you finance development and transformation?”. Essays will be judged on the basis of originality, creativity, use of language and appropriateness to contest theme.

A total of five winners will be selected. The first prize will be $2,000, second prize $1,500, third prize $1,000, fourth prize $700, and fifth prize $500. The selected winners will be required to travel to Kigali on July 25, 2018 in a fully covered trip.
