About the fellowship:
Lundbeck Foundation is delighted to announce that application for the Lundbeck Foundation Fellowships is now open for qualified researchers and scientists from all backgrounds. The purpose of the Lundbeck Foundation Fellows program is to support highly promising young researchers in their efforts to establish an independent profile and research group. With these grants, Lundbeck aims to support some of tomorrow’s most important contributors to research breakthroughs, significantly impacting research and society.
Eligibility:
Lundbeck Foundation fellowships are granted to outstanding and promising young researchers who are establishing or expanding their own research groups at non-commercial Danish research institutions. The fellowship is open to Danish-based researchers and to researchers from abroad who wish to move to Denmark and continue their research in a modern research environment. To be eligible, you must:
- Have obtained your Ph.D. no more than eight years ago.
- Work within the fields of health or biomedicine, or related fields with a clear biomedical angle to the project.
- Your project proposes must frontline clinical, translational, or basic research within the fields of biomedical, clinical or health science, or facilitate research within these fields.
Applicants may not:
- Already hold major Danish or international starting grants similar to a Lundbeck
Foundation Fellowship - Already hold a position as professor or associate professor in theoretical or clinical
research environments
Funding:
Lundbeck Foundation is allocating up to DKK 100 million (15,464,681.81 USD) for granting fellowships. Grants are DKK 10 million each and cover up to five years. The budget may include all staff and non-staff costs related to the project, including fellows salary. 10% of the budget can be reserved for indirect costs if appropriately justified. The evaluation for choosing the awardees will be based on excellence of the applicant, research project, host environment, and the expected implications for human health.
