Opportunity description
The University of Aberdeen offers two Carlaw-Ogston Master of Music Scholarships for students undertaking a full-time 12 months Master of Music (MMus) postgraduate degree at the University of Aberdeen. Applications are welcome from graduates with a First or Upper Second Class Honours degree in Music, or an equivalent qualification, who plan to undertake MMus studies within the Department of Music at the University of Aberdeen in any area of music, beginning in the academic year 2018-19.
Selection criteria:
The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of merit and musical talent in any area of music.
Funding:
The scholarships are valued at £2,000 for the one year duration of the postgraduate degree. The scholarships will be dispersed in two equal parts, the first instalment of £1,000 at the start of the academic year and the second instalment of £1,000 at the start of the second half session. The award is received subject to satisfactory progress over the period and an annual review will take place.
