The Global Campus Arab World, a unique network of one hundred universities around the world seeking to advance human rights and democracy education, offers the Arab Master's Program (ARMA) in Human Rights and Democracy. The program includes research-oriented courses and practical trainings and aims to reach students, researchers and experts from the region and beyond in the fields of human rights and democracy. The program is two semesters long: the first semester at Saint Joseph University of Beirut which consists of 10 courses and runs from September to February, and the second semester in one of the following universities: Birzeit University (Palestine), International University of Rabat (Morocco), University of Carthage (Tunisia), Cairo University (Egypt) and the University of Jordan (Jordan).
Eligibility Criteria:
[1] Applicants must have a minimum of 240 ECTS (MA degree, or BA degree with an additional 60 master-level European credits or their equivalent).
[2] Degrees should be in political science, law, or any other social science or specialization in a relevant discipline.
[3] Additional studies and practical experience in the area of human rights in governmental or non-governmental organizations is a plus.
[4] Proficiency in written and spoken English is a must.
The program will help you acquire theoretical and practical knowledge and develop research and practical skills. It includes a week-long field trip and offers you the possibility of doing internships in leading national and international organizations across the region. With the possibility of getting financial aid depending on your application and experience.
