Opportunity description
The Faculty of Medicine at Imperial College in London welcomes applications from highly outstanding graduates interested in pursuing a Master’s Degree in Medicine starting in October 2018. The faculty offers up to 11 scholarships in the following pattern:
[1] The Dean’s Master’s Scholarship: up to nine scholarships of 10,000 euros.
[2] The Dr Jean Alero Thomas Scholarship: a new scholarship program for the Faculty of Medicine, offering up to two scholarships to Home and EU students for lab-based Master’s Programs.
Candidates are expected to be able to provide evidence of outstanding academic ability. This will usually mean being among the highest achievers in their undergraduate cohort, and in receipt of, or due to receive a first class UK Honours degree or equivalent. An applicant who does not meet this requirement will be considered if they are able to demonstrate that they have outstanding academic potential and substantial experience relevant to their chosen subject area. Scholarships are awarded to applicants who are deemed by the panel to have the greatest potential to be leaders in their chosen field.
Awardees will be required to participate in promotional activities during the course of their studies and allow their image to be used by Imperial for publicity purposes. Such activities may include attending recruitment events, discussing their experiences with prospective postgraduate students and producing occasional print or web copy.
