Nature and Place Poetry Competition

The Rialto, in collaboration with the RSPB, BirdLife International and the Cambridge Conservation Initiative, announces the Nature and Place Poetry Competition 2018 giving the chance to young poets from around the globe to stand out and win one of five prizes at the Tŷ Newydd Writing Centre. Participants must write poems of 40 lines in english that deal with any aspect of nature and place.

First place winners receive 1000 euros money prize, second place winners receive 500 euros, whereas third place winners will win a place on a creative writing course. Two additional prizes are awarded to the judges’ choice. Also, the prizewinners will be invited to read their poems at an event with Michael Longley at CCI in Spring 2018 and have the poems published in The Rialto, Britain’s leading independent poetry magazine.
