OneBeat Music Exchange Program

Do you like music? Do you want to be a musician? OneBeat is an initiative designed to help future musicians, it is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and produced by Found Sound Nation. Musicians from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply for this program, with or without formal musical training. The program welcomes music of all genres, including but not limited to: traditional/folk, hip-hop, experimental, electronic. The program also invites instrument builders, writers, videographers, musicologists, educators, and more. This program is to aid musicians who have a strong commitment to their communities and who are seeking new ways to engage in youth development, music education, music therapy, conflict resolution, and other ways of working towards more egalitarian and democratic societies.OneBeat 2018 will take place from September 12 – October 14, 2018.
