Opportunity description

UN Volunteers is offering a great Online Volunteering opportunity in Curriculum development for children and youth. Its online volunteer community which is made up of bright, dynamic, committed individuals who enjoy bringing out the best in each other and in the organizations they serve. It is expected that all volunteers maintain high standards of behavior, and to refrain from any activity that could be detrimental to the assignment, the organization, other volunteers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Development of a culturally appropriate curriculum to support teaching and learning of the English language to children and teens from rural areas. 
  • Working from an outcomes-based framework, you will develop detailed materials, activities, and assessments for use by language teachers (tutors). 
  • Curriculum materials must also support the personal and social development of learners. 
  • Curriculum development and adaptation based on feedback on learner needs from tutors.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Please apply with a CV which gives your experience in teaching, curriculum development or instructional design. 
  • They only accept volunteers with prior experience in curriculum development.

Duration:

 1-5 hours per week / 26 weeks
