Opportunity to Attend the OYM Conference and Fully Funded Internship in the Netherlands for Young Leaders 2018

One Young World is a UK-based charity founded in 2009, it gathers together the brightest young leaders from around the world, empowering them to make lasting connections to create positive change to their local communities and the world. The organization stages an annual summit where the young talented leaders from global and national companies, NGOs, universities and other organizations are joined by world leaders, acting as the One Young World Counsellors. At the Summit, delegates debate, formulate and share innovative solutions for the important issues the world faces. Johnson & Johnson is in partnership with One Young World,  where both organizations believe that changing the course of health for humanity requires putting people first so that communities and health systems have the ability to address the health needs of the world’s most vulnerable and poor people. Johnson & Johnson aims to support the next generation of global and community-based health leaders to develop different skills and tools needed to improve health systems and well-being in underserved communities.

Johnson & Johnson in collaboration with One Young World (OYW) is offering a number of scholarships to aspiring young leaders across the world, to participate in the 2018 summit that is going to be held in The Hague, Netherlands. In addition to attending the upcoming One Young World Summit, scholarship recipients will receive individual coaching from senior Johnson & Johnson leaders to further develop their aspiration and strategy. The Program will run from July 2018 to January 2019, where successful applicants will be expected to invest 10% of their time in this program and to attend regular online training.

To be eligible you must be between 18 and 30 at the time of the 2018 OYW Summit. In addition, you must be working on the front lines of delivering care, like working in a medical facility as a nurse, doctor or any individual dedicated to health and caregiving to underserved communities. If selected, you will need approval from your employer, and you will undergo an additional healthcare compliance approval process by the organizers before your scholarship can be confirmed.

Successful applicants will receive a scholarship to access the OYM summit, and this scholarship will cover the following:

[1] Cost of travel to and from The Hague

[2] Hotel accommodation in a single room from 16-20 October

[3] Cost of meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, during these days

[4] Transport between the Summit accommodation and the Summit site

[5] Summit hand-outs and support materials

In addition to attending the OYM summit, participants will take a part in the 2018 Johnson & Johnson Program, where they will have:

[1] Individual coaching with senior Johnson & Johnson leaders

[2] Buddying with 2018 Johnson & Johnson delegates prior, during and after the Summit

[3] Participation in webinars and conference calls throughout the duration of the Program
