AYFN is inviting everyone interested to join its culture camp in Japan in 2020, which is a cultural learning program designed to enable participants to learn about Japanese culture in line with making a friend directly. This program is also an avenue to enhance knowledge and skill to face globalization. This is not a student exchange, but youth and cultural exchange exposure program.
This camp will take place in Osaka and Kyoto. Both cities are famous as Cultural cities in Japan. Participants in the program will have the unique opportunity to experience Kyoto—the historic former capital of Japan, replete with its temples, shrines and traditional gardens. It is AYFN's hope that the program will inspire youth to pursue adventurous and productive careers and contribute to the advancement of science.
Duration and Starting Date:
This camp will be started on 12 April 2020 (Arrival in Osaka) and will be ended on 15 April 2020. Participants will start their program at 7.30 a.m – 5.00 p.m every day. In the evening, participants will have free time to explore the magnificent of Osaka or go shopping.
Eligibility:
- Must be 15 – 30 Years old.
- All nationalities are welcomed.
- Commit to joining the full program.
- Able to adapt new environment easily.
- Able to pay the program fee.
- Health physically and mentally.
- This program is LIMITED to a maximum of 15 participants only. The application will be closed if the quota is over.
Activities included:
- Cultural tour activities in Osaka and Kyoto, whereby both cities are well known as the center of Japanese culture.
- Visit many interesting places both in Osaka and Kyoto, e.g: Osaka castle, Gion District in Kyoto (Geisha), Namba district, Arashiyama, and etc.
- Taste authentic Japanese cuisine.
- Walk around the heritage area of Kyoto.

Camp Cost:
Each participant has to pay:
- Member of AYFN: USD 600.
- No member: USD 650.
Note that all of the applicants have to pay USD 10 as a registration fee.

- Accommodation (5D4N) in the hotel (3 stars). 2 persons in a room.

- Pick up (Kansai Airport or Temmabashi Station).

ASEAN Youth Friendship Network:
AYFN is an independent youth community that has efforts to accommodate youth in the Southeast Asia region to build a friendship network. AYFN was established on 19 January 2010 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia and aims to create and provide youth, knowledge and cultural exchange activities with quality, safe and high placements in some countries. In addition, AYFN endeavors to increase education and heighten awareness through not only the skills and expertise taken by participants to their host communities and institutions but also through the experiences and lessons participants will, in turn, take back to their own countries and cultures.
