The University of Manchester in the UK announced the Sasakawa Japanese Studies Postgraduate Scholarship 2020-21. 

Scholarship Value:

The studentships are worth £10,000 and are for 1 year only. (Continuation of the award is subject to satisfactory progress.) 

Scholarship Conditions:

  • Level(s) of study: This funding is available to students undertaking postgraduate research.
  • Allowed study options: This funding is available to students undertaking full-time study:
  • This funding is available to students undertaking study in Japanese Studies.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • This funding is available to all nationalities.
  • This award is available to exist for postgraduate students.
  • Current students who have already accepted an offer of a full scholarship for September 2020 entry are ineligible to apply.

Selection Criteria:

Applications will be ranked according to two key criteria: academic track-record, and the quality of the research proposal.
