Opportunity description
Illinois College in the USA is offering two undergraduate scholarships for international students who have a vision for enhancing intercultural understanding and have demonstrated leadership abilities through prior high school and community experiences. The scholarship is open to students of all academic majors and fields of study. Scholarships are renewable annually.
Scholarships Value:
These scholarships will range from $3,000 to $5,000 annually and will be combined with our International Student Award that ranges from $10,000 to $18,000. The total Illinois College awards will cover at least 50% of annual tuition.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Be a first-year international applicant. An international applicant is an individual who holds citizenship in a country outside the United States and who does not also possess US citizenship or permanent residency.
- Demonstrate interest and personal initiative in activities involving intercultural learning and exchange.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities.
About Illinois College:
Illinois College of liberal arts was founded in 1829 by the Yale Band in Illinois, USA. The college awards bachelor's degrees in more than 80 programs and majors with the exception of the Master of Arts in Education. In 2013, Illinois College was ranked by Washington Monthly as one of the top 25 liberal arts colleges in the nation. In 2012 and 2013, Illinois College received recognition for its commitment to community service and was included on the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.
