Opportunity description
The African Leadership Centre is accepting applications for the Peace, Security and Development fellowships for African scholars starting in September 2018. The 18-month training and research program will be divided into a 12-month Master’s of Science program at King’s College London and a 6-month attachment to an African university to undertake an independent research project. The fellowship is available for junior faculty members based in African universities from departments of Political Science, International Relations, History, Law, Development Studies, Peace, Security and Conflict Studies, and any related departments. It aims to expose the scholars to complexities of security and development that are facing the African continent. Applicants must be fluent in English.
The fellowship is fully-funded to cover tuition fees, subsistence in the UK and Africa, accommodation, research-related costs, and all travel costs related to the program. However, applicants are expected to find their own accommodation.
