Opportunity description

The University of Primorska, Slovenia, invites applications from european and international students who demonstrate outstanding academic potential with a strong interest in pursuing a PhD degree in Computer Science or related subject to one of the following areas
[1] Human-computer Interaction
[2] Augmented, Mixed and Virtual Reality
[3] Pervasive and Ubiquitous computing

Applicants must have excellent technical abilities, programming skills and proficient English language skills. Also, they are prefered to have good prototyping skills and an inventive mind for problem solving. Specifically, a very good knowledge in at least one of the areas of software engineering, 3D graphics, information visualisation, interaction design, artificial intelligence or similar. The admitted candidate will spend 34 hours per week of research activities conducted at the HICUP lab and 6 hours per week of teaching assistant work.
One candidate will receive a 36-48 month scholarship which covers tuition fees, a monthly payment of 700-1000 euros, research equipments and other research costs.
