Opportunity description
Are you a student with interest and knowledge in virology, immunology and veterinary medicine? The University of Canberra offers ambitious students the chance to apply for the PhD scholarship to work on a project on the investigation of the expression and function of Mx and other genes from the innate immune response in sheep and analyse genomic sequence data collected from more than 40 different sheep breeds for three years. Applicants will be trained in state-of-the-art genomics, including next generation sequencing; molecular cloning; cell culture work; and virus challenge experiments.
