PhD Scholarships in Natural Sciences at the Free University of Berlin in Germany 2018

The Collaborative Research Centre 958 (SFB 958) with the integrated Research Training Group funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) is offering a number of doctoral scholarships on interdisciplinary research projects in the fields of Cell and Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Structural Biology, and Optical (bio)physics. Applicants must have gained a top place in their graduating classes, must be holders of a Master’s Degree or equivalent in Natural Sciences, and must have a solid proficiency in English (at least level B2). Students will be chosen on the basis of their previous grades and academic references. The scholarship will take place at the Free University of Berlin and will be awarded for one year starting on July 1, 2018 and encourages, in particular,  women and disabled people to apply.

Doctoral students will receive a stipend of €1,365 per month, an additional allowance of €103 per month, and a child care allowance may be granted if applicable.
