Opportunity description
The University of New England (UNE) in Australia is offering top quality international students who wish to enroll in the Doctor of Philosophy (Innovation) research degree the opportunity to apply for the UNE PhD Innovation Research Award (UNE PIRA) Scholarship starting in March 2019.
Eligibility criteria:
[1] The scholarship will be for a period of 4 years full-time. The student will be required to undertake the first and last year of study on campus at UNE, while the second and third year will be undertaken in the home country, conducting research within the industry/professional context
[2] Successful applicants must be able to provide evidence of their embeddedness in an appropriate industry/professional context, which could include support from government or non –government agencies, aid organizations or industry
[3] This industry/professional partner must be willing to provide funding and material support for the research and the applicant's project
[4] Four research scholarships are available to outstanding applicants
[5] Applications are assessed on academic merit and research potential
Value of scholarship:
A fixed rate of $27,082 per annum, tax free for full-time applicants, paid in fortnightly instalments.
